Amidst the risk of work accidents, compliance demands, and the need to maintain productivity, the presence of experts in work safety and occupational health can no longer be viewed as merely supplementary.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) — After successfully holding batch I, the Indonesian Manpower Ministry is reopening the batch-2 training program on coaching and certification of experts in work safety and occupational health (locally known as the abbreviation K3) with a quota of 2,100 participants from across Indonesia.
The program, which will run from April 6 to 12, 2026, is being opened as companies continue to increase their need for K3 experts, the ministry said in a written statement received by Indonesia Window on Monday.
Amidst the risk of work accidents, compliance demands, and the need to maintain productivity, the presence of K3 experts can no longer be viewed as merely supplementary.
The Manpower Minister, Yassierli, stated that the opening of this second batch represents a concrete step by the Indonesian government to expand workers' access to K3 competencies, which are increasingly needed in the workplace.
"Through this program, the government is providing the widest possible opportunity for workers and the public to become competent K3 experts, thereby contributing to creating a safe, healthy, and productive workplace," Yassierli said in a press release from the Manpower Ministry on Saturday (April 4).
According to the minister, strengthening K3 competencies concerns not only compliance with regulations but also worker protection and business continuity. Therefore, access to K3 training and certification must be more open and reach more workers.
"We want more workers to have K3 competencies. The stronger those competencies, the greater the opportunity to create a safe, healthy, and productive workplace," he said.
As with the first batch, the program is free of charge for training and guidance. Participants only pay 420,000 rupiahs in Non-Tax State Revenue in accordance with Government Regulation Number 41 of 2023.
The details include 150,000 rupiahs for the Occupational Health and Safety Training Certificate, 120,000 rupiahs for the Certificate of Appointment of K3 Expert Evaluation and 150,000 rupiahs for the Issuance of Certificate of Appointment.
1 USD equals 17.023,00 Indonesian rupiahs.
This scheme provides more room for workers to improve their competencies without the burden of training costs.
Furthermore, companies also benefit, as the need for human resources who understand work safety and occupational health continues to grow.
The ministry has set several requirements for participants. Prospective participants must have a minimum of a Diploma 3 (D3) degree and must attach a scan of their original diploma (in PDF format), a scan of their ID card (in PDF format), a passport-sized photo with a red background (in JPG format), a scan of the original Participant's Declaration of Willingness to Participate in Training (signed on a stamp) in PDF format, a Curriculum Vitae (in PDF format), and a scan of the original Health Certificate (in PDF format).
Participants are also required to prepare a mobile phone for attendance, a computer or laptop/PC to participate in the training series, and to take the exam, which will be held at the designated location.
The ministry urges workers who meet the requirements to register immediately through the link https://s-link.kemnaker.go.id/AK3UGRATISBATCH2.
Further information about the program can be accessed through the Ministry's official social media channels.
