Bogor, West Java (Indonesia Window) – The  Indonesian National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) has again received 600 million rupiahs in humanitarian aid for Palestine from an Indonesian zakat institution LAZSIP.

With this third phase of distribution, the total humanitarian aid distributed by LAZSIP through BAZNAS has reached 1.2 billion rupiahs.

The symbolic handover of aid took place at the BAZNAS Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (May 12th).

The event was attended by BAZNAS Chairman Dr. Sodik Mudjahid, BAZNAS Deputy Chairman Dr. Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi, and LAZ DPS Chairman Dr. Muhammad Yasir, Chairman of the SIP Foundation Abu Aisyah Dadang Rohendi, Chairman of LAZSIP Muhamad Irfandi, Lc., and a number of LAZSIP administrators.

On that occasion, the Chairman of BAZNAS Dr. Sodik Mudjahid expressed his appreciation for LAZSIP's consistency in distributing humanitarian aid to Palestine through BAZNAS.

“Alhamdulillah, today we have again received the trust to distribute the mandate for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. This is the third phase of distribution from LAZ SIP which shows a strong and sustainable commitment," he said.

Sodik added, "We will manage and distribute this mandate in stages, transparently, and on target so that it truly benefits the Palestinian people in need."

"Thank you to all LAZSIP staff, administrators, and amil who have collaborated. I have seen firsthand the conditions of our brothers and sisters in refugee camps, children who are very concerning, and that strengthens the fact that we must continue to be present to help," he added.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of DPS LAZSIP Dr. Muhammad Yasir stated that the annual increase in aid demonstrates consistent concern for Palestine.

“Alhamdulillah, this is the third phase. In 2024, we distributed 250 million rupiahs, in 2025 350 million rupiah, and this year 600 million rupiahs.

“The total is 1.2 billion rupiahs. Hopefully, it can continue to increase and provide wider benefits," he said.

He also expressed gratitude from the entire LAZSIP Team and the Solidarity Care Foundation management to BAZNAS for facilitating the distribution of aid to our brothers and sisters in Palestine who are in dire need.
