Jakarta (Indonesia Window) - Taiwan in East Asia continues to strengthen ties with its partners in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Austronesia through the New Southbound Policy under the government of President Tsai Ing-wen.

The policy that promotes mutual respect and understanding is reflected in 13 paintings by four Taiwanese female artists on display in the lobby of World Trade Center 2 building, Jakarta from 15 October - 15 November 2019.

At the opening of the painting exhibition entitled "Ethereal Minds", Representative of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) John Chen introduced the Taiwanese artists’ works that are rich in creativity and multicultural characteristics of the Formosa Island.

The female painters are Yang Yi Shiang, Huang Chia Ning, Wang Liang-Yin and Liu Hsin Ying.

Indonesian artists, art collectors and public are expected to enjoy the paintings that illustrate the beauty of Taiwanese arts and cultures from the perspective of women who emphasize delicateness, John Chen said.

In recent years women have risen in the world of art. The artists participating in the exhibition are a new generation of young Taiwanese female painters.

The painting exhibition is supported by Spotlight Taiwan from the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture, TETO, ISA Art and Design, and PT. Jakarta Land.
