Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Regarding flight GA 712, en route from Jakarta to Sydney on Thursday (December 25, 2025), which encountered turbulence approximately 30 minutes before landing in Australia, PT Garuda Indonesia President Director Glenny H. Kairupan confirmed that no cabin crew members suffered fractures."Two cabin crew members suffered minor injuries and have received medical treatment at a local hospital in Sydney for observation; one cabin crew member has been discharged, while the other is still undergoing further monitoring," he said in a media briefing received in Jakarta on Friday evening (26/12).He explained that Garuda Indonesia is coordinating with relevant aviation authorities to obtain recommendations for the necessary follow-up actions, as part of the company's ongoing commitment to upholding the safety, security, and comfort of flights.He also confirmed that the Pilot in Command regarding flight GA 712, en route from Jakarta to Sydney, it had followed all safety procedures in accordance with flight standard operating procedures (SOPs)."In line with this, the aircraft landed safely at Sydney Airport, Australia, in accordance with applicable safety regulations, and all passengers disembarked the aircraft normally," he said.The Pilot in Command (PIC) is the pilot who holds full responsibility and ultimate authority for the safety and operation of the aircraft throughout the flight, from takeoff to its conclusion.As a form of commitment to passengers, he said, Garuda Indonesia has also set up a dedicated helpdesk to monitor and follow up on any passenger input and reports regarding the accident, according to Glenny H Kairupan.Garuda Indonesia is the country’s flag carrier under the state-owned enterprises (locally known as its abbreviation BUMN). .Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
