
Prabowo, Lukashenko launch 2026-2030 cooperation roadmap

The Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation for 2026-2030 will serve as the framework for bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus for the period 2026–2030.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and his Belarusian counterpart Aleksandr Lukashenko have agreed to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The measure was taken through the launching of the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation for 2026-2030 during the Belarusian president’s state visit to Jakarta, Thursday (July 2).
The roadmap will serve as the framework for bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus for the period 2026–2030, the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat reported in its website as quoted by Indonesia Window on Sunday.
During the bilateral meeting, the two heads of state discussed and agreed on a number of strategic steps to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Belarus, among others:
Launch of the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation for 2026–2030 as a framework for bilateral cooperation over the next five years.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding on Industrial Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.
Signing of Memoranda of Understanding on cultural cooperation, cooperation on financial services authorities, and cooperation in the health sector.
Signing of Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN) and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to strengthen research and innovation collaboration.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center of the Republic of Indonesia and Department of Financial Monitoring of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation and intelligence exchange in preventing money laundering, terrorism financing, and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in National Accreditation by the National Accreditation Committee of the Republic of Indonesia.
Strengthened economic partnerships through the implementation of the Indonesia–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (IEAEU FTA).
President Prabowo emphasized that the commitment between the two countries to strengthening bilateral relations is demonstrated through various cooperation documents agreed upon at the meeting.
The commitment of Indonesia and Belarus to strengthening bilateral relations was also demonstrated today (Thursday, July 2) through the several cooperation documents agreed upon by the delegations of both countries, Prabowo noted.
“We have built excellent ties in health, culture, national accreditation, financial transaction reporting, industry, science and technology, financial services, and defense cooperation,” President Prabowo said in a joint press statement with President Lukashenko.
Belarus is one of Indonesia’s strategic trading partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Through the implementation of IEAEU FTA, approximately 90 percent of Indonesian products will gain market access and duty-free entry into Belarus once the ratification process is completed.
Th Indonesian head of state expressed his expectation that all agreements agreed upon could be implemented immediately to provide concrete benefits for both countries.
“I hope this cooperation can be implemented soon so that it can provide concrete benefits in the near future for both countries,” he said.
