Jakarta (Indonesia Window) - Indonesian students pursuing higher education at universities across Saudi Arabia have earned a strong reputation for their diligence, exemplary character, strong academic commitment, and ability to represent Indonesia with distinction.

The remarks were delivered by Dr. Abdullah Bawazier, CEO of Iqra Arabia at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, during the opening ceremony of Saudi Education Expo (SEE) 2026, here on Friday (July 31).

According to Dr. Bawazier, those positive qualities are also reflected in the organization of the SEE 2026, hosted by the Indonesian Students Association in Saudi Arabia (PPMI Saudi Arabia) at the SMESCO Convention Center from July 31 to August 2.

"Today, we are witnessing another remarkable contribution from them. By the permission of Allah (ﷻ), Indonesian students and alumni from Saudi universities have successfully organized this exhibition in a highly professional and well-coordinated manner," he said.

He noted that the event demonstrates the students' desire not only to succeed in their own educational journeys but also to help fellow Indonesians pursue similar opportunities.

"This is the true meaning of success: receiving an opportunity and then helping others attain it; gaining knowledge and experience, then sharing it with the wider community," Dr. Bawazier said.

He also encouraged Indonesian students aspiring to study in Saudi Arabia to prioritize one of the most essential requirements for admission—proficiency in the Arabic language.

"Arabic is not merely a subject or an admission requirement. It is the key to understanding lectures, communicating with professors and fellow students, engaging with society, and making the most of the educational experience in Saudi Arabia," he said.

"Arabic is a global language," he stressed.

Dr. Bawazier expressed hope that the Saudi Education Expo would continue to serve as a lasting bridge between Indonesia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, connecting students with universities and transforming educational aspirations into real opportunities.
