Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A number of Indonesian and Mexican universities have signed cooperation agreements throughout 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a written statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs received here on Thursday (Dec. 23).

The cooperation agreements were established between the Universidad Anahuac Oaxaca and the Telkom University; the Universidad Mondragon and the Binus University; the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Binus University; the Universidad Panamericana and the Gadjah Mada University; and the Universidad Panamericana and the University of Indonesia.

The educational cooperation is expected to increase the people-to-people connection between the peoples of Mexico and Indonesia, as well as strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations.

This collaboration also opens up wider opportunities for Indonesian students to study in Mexico, and vice versa.

The exchange of information and transfer of technology that could boost the two countries’ development are also expected to be achieved through the cooperation between Indonesia and Mexico.
