
Indonesia and UAE inaugurate cardiology hospital in C. Java

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) inaugurated the Emirates–Indonesia Cardiology Hospital on November 19, 2025, in Surakarta City, Central Java.The inauguration was conducted by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who represented the President of the UAE.In his remarks, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that this collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Indonesia and the UAE to providing inclusive and quality healthcare services.The president also expressed his appreciation for the UAE Government's support in providing access to cutting-edge medical innovations for the Indonesian people.This health and education collaboration reflects the increasingly close relationship between Indonesia and the UAE and the commitment of both countries to jointly deliver tangible benefits to the people.The hospital, part of a grant from the UAE Government to Surakarta, serves as a tangible symbol of the two countries' friendship in strengthening healthcare infrastructure.Equipped with international-standard medical technology, this facility is expected to expand access to cardiac services, expedite patient care, and enhance the resilience of the national healthcare system.The Emirates–Indonesia Cardiology Hospital has been operating on a limited basis and will gradually increase its service capacity.On the same occasion, a Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed between the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding an educational technology partnership.The agreement marks the first step in strengthening the quality of learning in Islamic religious educational institutions through inclusive, sustainable, and scalable educational technology solutions.The signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) was carried out by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Kamaruddin Amin, and the Director-General of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Mohamed Haji Al Khouri.The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Kamaruddin Amin, stated that the LoI reflects the commitment of both parties to advancing Islamic education.Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
