Jakarta (Indonesia Window) - The Provincial Administration of Jakarta will build a prophet historical museum in the Ancol tourist area, and is expected to be the largest of its kind outside Saudi Arabia.

"Of the available 20 hectares of land, three hectares will be prepared to build a prophet historical museum," Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan recently said in a video statement shared through the Jakarta Provincial Administration's website.

"God willing, this (museum) will be a magnet for people throughout Indonesia, also around the world," he added.

The land in Ancol, which is located in the northern part of Indonesia’s capital of Jakarta, is a mass of sediments from rivers and reservoirs that has been deliberately accumulated for eleven years.

Currently the Ancol tourist site has an area of 200 hectares and is visited by 20 million people every year.
