The joint export program by Usindo Exim collects and brings Indonesian MSME products to the United States to be displayed at the Indonesian Muslim Society in America (IMSA) and the Malaysian Islamic Study Group (MISG) exhibition in Austin, Texas, on December 23-27 2023.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – A U.S. export aggregator services company, Usindo Exim Consultant llc, is expecting at least 100 Indonesian MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) to participate in a joint export program, at Halal Expo Indonesia (HEI) 2023.

“The latest update shows 60 MSMEs have registered, either during business matching programs at HEI or before the exhibition,” Usindo’s marketing official Exim Ihza said here on Friday (Oct. 27).

At this year’s HEI, he said, Usindo Exim offered MSMEs, especially those engaging in the fashion and craft sectors, to participate in the joint export program.

Through this program, Usindo Exim will collect and bring the MSME products to the United States to be displayed at the Indonesian Muslim Society in America (IMSA) and the Malaysian Islamic Study Group (MISG) exhibition in Austin, Texas, on December 23-27, 2023.

“We help MSMEs to enter international markets, especially in America. “However, because the shipment takes quite a long time, the products that are possible to join this export program should have no risk of going stale, such as fashion and crafts,” Ihza said.

“There are a lot of fashion products at ISEF-HEI (Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival). They can join the export program with shipping costs under 20,000 rupiahs (about 1.26 U.S. dollars) per piece without any minimum or maximum limits. “The deadline for collecting products is November 1, 2023,” he said.

He further explained, if the products are not sold at the exhibition, there will be two options for the owners.

“First, they can be returned to Indonesia by paying shipping costs. Second, they will be stored in Usindo Exim’s warehouse by paying a rental fee. “Later on, the MSMEs can sell their stored products by online via Amazon or via the website, and if they find a buyer, the products will be sent directly from Usindo Exim’s warehouse,” Ihza said.

One of the MSME players that have registered for joint exports was Gita from PT Asa Pratama Kreasindo with the brand called Ainaras.

She said that HEI was very helpful as it provided opportunities for business players through business matching to enter the global market.

The Ainaras brand offers Muslim fashion products, such as men’s robes, knitted caps, sarongs, hijabs, and travel prayer mats.

She expected that in the future more buyers from abroad would come to Indonesia, either through invitations from HEI or the government, thus opening up greater business opportunities for business people.

“Alhamdulillah, there is a business deal from Malaysia. “There are some potential buyers from several countries she dealt with through business matching who are interested in her products, but still under discussion,” Gita said.

Export market opportunities are also taken by PT Ganesha Abadi Tama, a manufacturer of spices whose factory is located in Jatisampurna, Bekasi, West Java province.

According to its marketing official, Hendra Kurniawan, during the two days of participating in business matching at HEI, four countries have been showing their interests to cooperate, namely Libya, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

“Business matching is a great opportunity for our company which has not exported yet. “Thank God, we have the opportunity to be better known by foreign buyers,” Hendra said.

Meanwhile, business actors who want to expand marketing while increasing management capacity and competitive product quality can consult and become partners at the Joint Halal Production House, or locally known as Rumah Produksi Halal Bersama.

At HEI 2023, the Joint Halal Production House showcased a number of MSME products which are now widely circulated abroad, namely Kaldu Kokot (broth product) and Rasanesia Crispy Cassava which are popular in Malaysia, Singapore and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

Halal Expo Indonesia is the largest business to business and business to consumer exhibition in Indonesia, and this year takes place on October 25-29 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
