Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been committed to investing in Indonesia worth 32.7 billion U.S. dollars, Indonesian Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia has said.

The 32.7 billion dollar commitment is an accumulation of investments managed by the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) and the Ministry of Investment, Bahlil said in an online press statement on Thursday (Nov. 4).

The investment commitment will be managed for several sectors, such as health, renewable energy, port infrastructures, and foods.

The Indonesian government will boost collaboration between investors from the UAE and Indonesian national entrepreneurs, including those from the micro, small, and medium sector, Bahlil said.

After the first day of working visit to Abu Dhabi, Indonesian President Joko Widodo would visit Dubai on Thursday (Nov. 4) to meet the Prime Minister who is also the Emir of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as a number of Emirati investors and business players.

Bahlil hoped that the investment forum would make an increase in investment commitments from the UAE over 35 billion dollars.
