Dompu, W Nusa Tenggara (Indonesia Window) - The Waqf Board of the Quran or locally known as the BWA has inaugurated the Water Action for People project, namely the waqf for clean water facilities for people in areas with water shortages.A BWA's press release made available for Indonesia Window said here on Tuesday that the project is located in Damkasipahu Hamlet, Doropeti Village, Pekat Sub District, Dompu District, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The BWA team led by Program Director Heru Binawan inaugurated the project on Wednesday (Dec. 13). Also present at the inauguration ceremony were representatives of the Mount Tambora Forestry Service Abdul Basyit, Damkasipahu community leader Hasidin and a number of other community elements.According to Heru Binawan, in this project, his party had to withdraw 7.6 kilometers of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipe from the water source to be able to flow it to Damkasipahu Hamlet."With the completion of the pipeline, the people of Damkasipahu can enjoy clean water for their daily needs," Heru Binawan said. The residents who directly enjoy the BWA clean water project consist of 99 houses, one mosque, one musholla and one elementary school. On that occasion, Heru Binawan also expressed his gratitude to the donors (wakif) who have endowed their wealth for the benefit of many people."Thank you to the waqifs, may the flow of water in Doropeti Village, especially in Damkasipahu Hamlet, be a reward that continues to flow and certainly be something very useful because it has been felt by the people of Damkasipahu Hamlet," he said.Damkasipahu community leader Hasidin was very happy for the completion of the BWA clean water project.According to him, this project is very beneficial for his community."Alhamdulillah, the endowment of clean water facilities is very beneficial for the residents of Damkasipahu Hamlet. There is no other word we can say other than thank you to the BWA team who has gone to great lengths to build it for our people," Rasidin remarked. He also invited his people to be grateful to Allah SWT and prayed that BWA would continue to work for the ummah.Meanwhile, a representative of the Forestry Service of Mount Tambora, Abdul Rasyid, said that their duties are similar to those of BWA. Namely, both protect the forest around Mount Tambora so to make it not deforested, and maintain the availability of water even in the dry season."So our task is to keep the forest from being damaged so that the water source is maintained. With this, I invite the community together to preserve it," Abdul Rasyid. On that occasion, Abdul Rasyid and forestry staff also brought banyan tree seedlings to be planted in the village.Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
