Indonesian, Saudi FMs discuss cooperation on sidelines of WEF

The Saudi Foreign Minister and his Indonesian counterpart have discussed bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting held on January 20-24, 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Indonesian Foreign Minister, Sugiono, and the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud have, discussed bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting held on January 20-24, 2025 in Davos, Switzerland.In addition to discussing bilateral cooperation, the two ministers also talked about a planned state visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and that of the Saudi Foreign Minister to Indonesia.The Indonesian and Saudi Foreign Ministers likewise discussed developments of the situation in Palestine.The Indonesian Foreign Minister expressed support for the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and emphasized the importance of implementing the ceasefire agreement comprehensively to stop the loss of life in Gaza.The meeting between Foreign Minister Sugiono and Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of WEF 2025 was the first bilateral meeting between the two ministers since the former was inaugurated in October 2024.On a separate occasion, Sugiono also met with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen on the sidelines of the WEF 2025 meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland (22/1). This was the first meeting for the Foreign Ministers of the two countries.
