
Indonesia’s solidarity agency evacuates spate-affected family in Bogor district

The SAR team of LAZ SIP successfully evacuated one family consisting of a husband and wife and their two children, as well as a mother, who are residents of the Villa Nusa Indah 1 housing complex in Indonesia’s Bogor district, West Java province.
Bogor, Jawa Barat (Indonesia Window) – The SAR team from the Alms Collection Institution (locally known as Lembaga Amil Zakat/LAZ) of an Indonesian solidarity agency, locally known as Solidaritas Insan Peduli (SIP) on Tuesday (March 4) successfully evacuated a spate-affected family in Bogor.The family consists of a husband and wife and their two children, as well as a mother, who are residents of the Villa Nusa Indah 1 housing complex, Indonesia’s Bogor district, West Java province.The evacuation of the family was carried out using a rubber boat because their house was submerged in floodwaters more than one meters high, following heavy rains that poured over Capital Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) from Monday (March 3) to Tuesday (March 4), according to a statement by the head of the SAR team, Nawawi, received by Indonesia Window in Bogor, Wednesday.
