Nusuk is an integrated portal launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which aims to develop the experience of the guests of the Holy Land and facilitate their arrival procedures in carrying out worship and visits.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will hold a roadshow to introduce the integrated and interactive platform 'Nusuk', a special program to serve visitors to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, on April 30 in Jakarta.

The event is expected to be attended by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Qoumas, together with a number of official Indonesian officials and the Saudi Tourism Service.

Nusuk brings together more than 700 commercial partners representing travel, tourism and Umrah agents, both from Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, and provides many high-quality services, such as accommodation, transportation, flights, hospitality, electronic visa applications, and visits to the Nabawi Mosque and Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa.

All these services, along with the procedures, can be obtained automatically with whatever type of visa the visitor holds.

Nusuk also aims to enhance the experience of guests of the Holy Land and increase the number of foreign visitors, which is in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest number of Umrah pilgrims and visitors to Saudi Arabia, according to the kingdom's official statistics. Last year, Saudi Arabia received around 1.5 million Umrah pilgrims and visitors from Indonesia.

This roadshow is expected to contribute to strengthening strategic partnerships between representatives of the private sector engaged in religious and commercial travel from both countries, in order to improve the quality of services provided to worshipers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

During the roadshow, Saudi Arabia will present the 'Umrah+ Trip Al Hijrah' experience program, which offers a transformative journey, inviting visitors to explore Saudi Arabia beyond its spiritual journey, to enjoy the stories behind each travel destination covering various locations in the Kingdom.

Indonesia is one of the most important markets in Southeast Asia, so the roadshow accompanied by a service exhibition in the Holy Land shows the strong ties between the two countries. The strength of bilateral relations is also marked by the many similarities in aspects, increasing exchanges between the two countries, as well as the assurance of a safe and comfortable sojourn for Indonesian visitors to Saudi Arabia.

Nusuk has included Indonesian as one of its main service languages, which explains the reliability, security, useful information and guidance in carrying out the Umrah, and the possibility for women to carry out worship and visits without a male companion.

Nusuk also shows activities, events, historical places and trips that enrich visitors' experience while in Makkah and Medina, access to travel and tourism platforms to book various programs and packages, as well as to choose various offers from private partners.

During the roadshow, the Saudi Tourism Authority will also present virtual reality (VR) technology experiences to the Indonesian people and tourists from various countries in the world, which will be held from 1 to 5 May.

Taking place at the Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta, the event also provides an opportunity for companies accredited by the platform in the Indonesian market to showcase their services, including Umrah packages for those who wish to perform the pilgrimage.

Apart from visiting historical locations in the two holy cities, Nusuk provides the experience of visiting various Saudi tourist destinations, which include natural and cultural tourism, as well as the experience of staying in the kingdom for 90 days to one year.
