Inspired by Muslim festival in Doha, Japanese entrepreneur builds mobile masjid

Bogor, W Java (Indonesia Window) - Being inspired by a Muslim halal tourism festival in Doha, Qatar, several years ago, Yasuharu Inoue, Chief Executive Officer of Yasu Project, for the first time visited the capital city of Qatar for a Muslim halal tourism festival, where many people including Japanese did research on halal food.That time not many Japanese people know how to pray five times a day according to the Islam teachings, Yasuharu Inoue told Indonesia Window at an event promoting his company Yasu Project, a builder of mobile masjid (mosque), from Japan, in Indonesia’s capital Jakarta on Wednesday (April 16).In his country, there was a Tokyo tournament to which he sent a proposal about making a masjid, but unfortunately due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the proposal was cancelled as no audience came to the event.However, many of his Muslim friends in Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, suggested that he proceed with making mobile masjid projects.Inoue said he would return to Indonesia as soon as possible to send a proposal to make a mobile masjid project.According to him, building a mobile masjid is expensive but he promised to make such a mosque in Indonesia including in Jakarta cheaper.
