Indonesia strongly condemns Israeli attack on Lebanon, calls for UN's swift action

The Israeli attack on Lebanon has been strongly condemned by Indonesian President Joko Widodo, calling on the United Nations (UN) and world countries to immediately take swift action to prevent more casualties.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo firmly condemns the Israeli attack on Lebanon that has caused hundreds of casualties, according to the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat in a written statement on Wednesday.In his statement to journalists, President Widodo called on the United Nations (UN) and world countries to immediately take swift action to prevent more casualties as a result of the Israeli attack on Lebanon."Indonesia strongly condemns Israel's attack on Lebanon, and we invite all countries and the UN to provide a quick response so that there are no more victims due to Israel's attacks," the president after groundbreaking for the construction of the Delonix Nusantara mixed-use area located in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan Province, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.The ongoing crisis in Lebanon has raised international concern, including from the Indonesian government, he president noted, while emphasizing that evacuation steps for Indonesian citizens in Lebanon are being prepared and coordinated by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs."I have called the Minister of Foreign Affairs, it is also in process," the president said, ensuring that the government will immediately take action to protect Indonesian citizens in the conflict zone.The head of state’s response emphasized Indonesia's commitment to continue supporting world peace and protecting its citizens abroad who are in dangerous situations.Reporting by Indonesia WindowBagikan
