Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Indonesian government will build a data storage system and computing power, Cloud, which is expected to operate in 2020, Director General of Informatics Applications at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Samuel Abrijani P conveyed in a discussion here, Monday, the Government News Network (JPP) reported as quoted by Indonesia window here, Monday.

Samuel said the Cloud would accommodate strategic data and public services.

"To work on the plan, we have synergized it with the Presidential Regulation on Electronic-based Government Systems," he added.

Meanwhile, existing data in the public sphere will be regulated in a different ministerial regulation.

Samuel revealed that there would be four data centres, yet he has not explained in detail about the location of the Cloud.

Cloud computing is a data storage and computing power system without active management directly by the users. This term is generally used to describe data centres that are available to many users over the Internet.
