Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed at least four things, including Indonesia's membership in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the main weapon system, in Hiroshima, Japan, on Sunday.“The first is Indonesia's membership in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). I hope for French support so that Indonesia will be accepted as a member of the FATF. Indonesia is the only G20 country that is not yet a member of the FATF," President Widodo said. The second is that Widodo asked for President Macron's support that the Indonesia-EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IUE-CEPA) can be completed as soon as next year. The third is that the two leaders discussed strategic sector investments. President Widodo welcomed the participation of French companies in Indonesia's downstream projects and French assistance through The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) of 500 million Euros and the Just Energy Transition Partnership.President Jokowi saw the need for efforts to encourage follow-up cooperation between Hydrogene de France (HDF) and Indonesia’s PT Bukit Asam for hydrogen-based technology, as well as the Center de coopération internationale en recherche agronomyque pour le développement (CIRAD) and the Indonesian Blue Foundation for sustainable development."Indonesia is also open to investment to build a new capital city (in East Kalimantan province, locally known as Ibu Kota Nusantara/IKN) in the fields of infrastructure, green energy and ecotourism. We have prepared incentives and investment facilities," he added. The fourth is regarding defense and the main weapon system.
