Jakarta (Indonesia Window) - The idea of ​​the Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) to raise funds from a number of pharmaceutical and food industries in the country for Palestinians has been well materialized.

In collaboration with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and Medical Aids for Palestine (MAP), the funds was then used to provide a medical vehicle for Palestinian refugees in Talbiyah in the outskirt of the Jordan’s capital city of Amman.

The facility was handed over by Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan and Palestine Andy Rachmianto on Tuesday (Nov 19) for Palestinians who live in Talbiyah refugee camps that accommodate around 25,000 people, as saying on the Indonesian Foreign Ministry's website, quoted by Indonesia Window here on Wednesday.

In addition, the Indonesian Government will also deliver basic supplies, winter kit and medical equipment for Palestinians living in refugee camps.

Ambassador Andy said the delivery of humanitarian aid was one of the prioritized programs of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman which aimed at helping Palestinians and Syrians refugees in Jordan.

"Indonesia always pays attention and gives support to the Palestinian people, including those in refugee camps," Ambassador Andy said.

Over the past two years, the Indonesian Embassy in Amman has been collecting and distributing humanitarian aid in Jordan and Palestine, particularly to Palestinian refugees.

The humanitarian mission of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman is carried out in collaboration with various non-government groups, including business people, non-governmental organizations, philanthropists, campus communities and celebrities.
