Pakistan, Indonesia committed to enhancing relations
President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan and his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto affirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthening mutually beneficial relations.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan held a bilateral meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The tête-à-tête (one-on-one) meeting affirmed the commitment of Indonesia and Pakistan to strengthening mutually beneficial relations for the welfare of the people of both countries.
During the meeting, President Prabowo and the Pakistani president exchanged views on the situation in the region and strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
The one-on-one meeting was followed by a bilateral meeting between the two leaders and their respective delegations.
During the meeting, President Prabowo received the highest award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, which was awarded directly by the Pakistani president.
The award reflects Pakistan’s respect for President Prabowo’s contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan, which have long fostered friendly relations.
