Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia and Romania are exploring increased defense cooperation, particularly in the industrial sector.
It was discussed at a meeting between Romanian parliament senator for defense Nicu Falcoi and Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra, here on Tuesday (May 25).
On that occasion, the two parties also discussed the possibility of cooperation on transfer of technology in the defense industry.
The bilateral relations between Indonesia and Romania have been established for 70 years.
However, the cooperation in the economic and defense fields has not developed rapidly.
At the meeting, Senator Falcoi Nicu expressed his hope that after his visit along with the Romanian delegation to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, the cooperation in the defense sector between Indonesia and Romania would continue to improve in the future.
