The Saudi Health Ministry has provided around 23 hospitals and 147 health centers, as well as deployed 25,000 health workers to help pilgrims.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Saudi government is increasingly improving health services for hajj pilgrims by providing the Cardiac Diseases and Surgery Center of Madinah Health Cluster, which within 10 days has carried out 19 cardiac catheterization operations.
The Kingdom’s Ministry of Health confirmed that all the operations, which were carried out on the pilgrims, were successful.
The Madinah Cardiac Center provides all necessary health cares, including performing accurate medical examinations and procedures for pilgrims during their stays in Saudi Arabia.
Serving health needs and ensuring that the pilgrims are in good health would assist them in carrying out the fifth Pillar of Islam worship properly and smoothly.
In the context of implementing this year’s hajj pilgrimage, the Saudi Ministry of Health, among others, has prepared a number of hospitals and health centers in Makkah and Madinah.
The ministry has provided around 23 hospitals and 147 health centers, as well as deployed 25,000 health workers to help pilgrims.
In addition, there are also 4,654 inpatient beds in hospitals, 1,080 beds for intensive cares, and 238 special beds used for patients suffering heat strokes.
The Saudi National Meteorological Center (NCM) has reported that the maximum temperature in the Holy Land during the 2022 hajj season is expected to reach between 42-44 degrees Celsius during the day.
In addition, NCM also reported surface wind activity during the day at speeds of up to 35 kilometers per hour, lifting dust especially in open areas and highways.
“The wind direction will generally blow from the northwest to the west,” NCM noted.
Meanwhile, it is possible that rain clouds would form in the high altitudes of the southern Makkah region during the period 9-13 Dhul Hijjah, accompanied by strong winds and active dust, NCM said.
The 1443 Hijri/2022 hajj will be the penultimate pilgrimage that pilgrims will perform during the summer season.
