Sheikh Al-Sudais conveys readiness of Hajj preparation

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preparing various matters to improve services in the implementation of the Hajj 1440 Hijr (2019).

The preparations seemed to be going well, with the Chairperson of the General Council of the Grand Mosque and the Nabawi Mosque (the Prophet’s Mosque), Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sudais announcing that the council was ready to provide the best service for all guests of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, a Saudi official said via a message service to Indonesia Window recently.

According to the President of the Islamic Communication Center (ICC) of Saudi Arabia, Faheem H Alhamid, the service was provided during the Hajj 1440 Hijr season to make pilgrims could comfort, peaceful and secure in performing all the rituals.

Sheikh Al-Sudais said the service was launched in the form of the Hajj Media Program Plan at the Office of the General Leadership Council of the Grand Mosque and the Nabawi Mosque recently.

This plan includes 140 programs which are categorized into several segments to improve works, human resources competency and capacity, and provide 24 hours services for the pilgrims in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

Sheikh Al-Sudais said various efforts and achievements by Saudi Arabia in guarding the two holy mosques and serving Muslims from all over the world who came to worship, and the kingdom’s attention to visitors showed the kingdom’s commitment to implementing the Vision 2030 and the National Transition Program 2020.

According to him, the plan emphasizes are aimed at showing Islamic religious images of moderate and tolerant that also characterize Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj 1440 Hijr programs would be carried out by 10 thousand workers, consisting of men and women with qualified competencies and skills.

Sheikh Al-Sudais asserted that the servant of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, was trying to carry out various measures that guarantee the security, peace, convenience and comfort of the guests of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.

Thus, people could perform worship in full serenity as Hajj is a sacred activity that should not be distorted by such other agenda as politics or interests of certain groups.

One of the Hajj 1440 Hijr programs is to translate Friday and Arafat sermons into 10 languages, to make Islamic mission could be reached by the people in a language that they understand.

The number of Indonesian pilgrims has always been the largest in the world with 231,000 departing in this year’s Hajj in 529 flying groups via 13 embarkations.
