In addition, in August there will be additional 8.4 million doses of COVID-19 Bio Farma’s vaccine stock, and another 23.3 million doses in September.

Bio Farma Corporate Secretary Bambang Heriyanto said all the vaccines would be distributed to 34 provinces in Indonesia, after passing the quarantine period and sampling process, and getting a lot release from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (locally known as BPOM).

Lot release is a requirement from the World Health Organization (WHO), which obliges the drug authorities of every country to evaluate the test results and/or review the lot/batch quality document of a vaccine to ensure the quality of each vaccine lot/batch.
