COVID-19 – 2,966 Indonesians abroad infected

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – As many as 13 more overseas Indonesians have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total cases to 2,966, according to the Foreign Ministry on Thursday (Jan. 28).

Of the 13 new cases, five were reported in Japan, four in the Maldives, two each in Cuba and Bahrain.

The ministry noted that two more Indonesians abroad have recovered from COVID-19. They were reported in Cuba and Bahamas, bringing the total recoveries to 2,107 or 71 percent of the accumulated cases.

Meanwhile, 688 Indonesians outside the country are still under medical treatment, and the death toll remains 171.
