Diplomatic relations, including permanent dialogue forums, between Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan continue to be developed by taking steps to enhance bilateral relations.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Republic of Indonesia and the Kyrgyz Republic mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations on April 5, 2023.

On this important occasion, the leaders and foreign ministers of the two countries congratulated each other for achieving another milestone of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation, according to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a written statement as quoted by Indonesia Window, Saturday.

The President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, conveyed the wishes and commitment of Indonesia to enhance the cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in various fields, both at the bilateral and international levels in the coming years.

Meanwhile, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, deemed Indonesia as a promising partner for cooperation in various fields, and expressed his view of the importance to strengthen and deepen the cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels for the well- being of the two peoples and the world.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, Retno L.P. Marsudi, expressed her confidence that both countries' joint efforts to take future opportunities would continue to develop and open more chances of partnership to benefit the peoples of Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan.

Similarly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev, conveyed the readiness of his country to continue making necessary efforts to develop and expand the bilateral ties, including through regular dialogue and active political interaction.

To that end, Foreign Minister Kulubaev also invited Foreign Minister Retno to pay a visit to Kyrgyzstan, and in return, expressed his readiness to visit Indonesia at a mutually convenient time.
