Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia’s national Bung Karno sports stadium (locally known as its abbreviation GBK) was bustling when the Central Leadership Council of Barisan Pemuda Nusantara (Bapera/the Nusantara Youth Front) distributed donation packages to 20 thousand orphans. The number of orphans donated this time was different from the usual one of 10 thousand children during Ramadan (the Muslim fasting month). The event was one of the markers of the inauguration of the Central Leadership Council of management of Bapera (Barisan Pemuda Nusantara) led by Fahd El Fouz A Rafiq. This new management works for the 2025-2030 period. The famous lawyer, Prof. Dr. Henry Indraguna, was entrusted with the responsibility as Deputy Chairperson of the Central Leadership Council of Bapera.Prof. Henry is considered to have the capacity, capability and loyalty to the leadership and organization. From his track record as a practitioner and politician of Golkar (one of Indonesia’s noted political party), it is a plus that he can provide a booster for this youth organization to shine and succeed. The presence of Prof. Henry is expected to contribute to the nation and state, especially in supporting Asta Cita program of Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto.Asta Cita means eight programs launched by Indonesia’s current government as a form of struggle to realize an advanced and prosperous Indonesia. In the activity of providing assistance to 20 thousand orphans, Prof. Henry said that the provision of this assistance aims to restore the smiles and laughter and optimism of the orphans to face the future."This is just the beginning in order to prosper Ramadan. There is a mission and vision that we want to entrust to the youth as future leaders of the nation. We want the youth to have a heart and empathy for the people and dare to fight for thoughts and ideas about the economy that lead to the welfare of the people," Prof. Dr. Henry told suarakarya.id after attending the inauguration procession of the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Leadership Council of Bapera in Jakarta, Tuesday (March 18).Prof. Henry, who was once a member of the Expert Team of the Presidential Advisory Council, explained that Bapera, as an organization known for its nationalism and patriotism, has a vision to build the quality of youth based on the values of Pancasila and the ideals of the 1945 Proclamation and to strengthen the identity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.Pancasila is the foundation of the state and the philosophy of Indonesia which consists of five principles – Belief in God Almighty, Humanity, Unity, Democracy and Social Justice. The Expert Advisor to the Research and Development Center of the Golka Party emphasized that Bapera supports President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita program in practicing Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. One form of support is a work program that is in line with the government's program."However, Bapera will also remain a critical partner, supporting what is good, but not keeping quiet if we see something wrong. It's like we would praise without adoring, and criticize without hating," said the Deputy Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Advocates Congress (KAI).
