Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The bilateral relations between Indonesia and Azerbaijan, especially in the fields of trade and investment as well as socio-culture continue to increase and develop, Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Husnan Bey Fananie has said.
The statement was conveyed by the ambassador at a diplomatic reception held by the Indonesian Embassy in Azerbaijan’s capital of Baku to celebrate the 74th Independence Day of Indonesia at Elektra Hall located by the shores of the Caspian Sea on Monday evening (Sep 9), according to a statement received by Indonesia Window here, Wednesday.
“The relationship that has been established since long time ago in an atmosphere of friendship and brought mutual benefit is a strong foundation to further enhance the bilateral ties between the two countries in the future,” the ambassador said.
The diplomatic reception was attended by hundreds of guests, including a number of Azerbaijan government officials.
As the guests of honor were Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov and several members of the Azerbaijani parliament, ambassadors of fellow countries, a number of businessmen from both countries, academicians, mass media, and other partners of the Indonesian Embassy.
“I thank all parties for making it very lively and a big event,” Ambassador Husnan said.
