“Not only is fighting the Israeli occupation the responsibility of the Palestinian people but is also the struggle of all Muslims to reclaim the holy city of Jerusalem,” he added.

Meanwhile, Director of The Baitul Maqdis Institute KH Fahmi Salim Lc. said that so far what the international community has done to help the Palestinian people’s struggle has only been limited to demonstrations, fundraising and social assistance. “It is nothing with intellectual brilliance yet.”

“Well, we (The Baitul Maqdis Institute) want to complement this struggle with intellectual struggle. Remember, when Salahuddin Al Ayyubi liberated Jerusalem, he said that the struggle was not just with weapons, but through intellectual struggle by the Muslim Ummah,” he noted.
