The foundation in Indonesia, the Foundation for Friendship and Civilization Studies (locally known as YPSP), is following what the Palestinian people experience in the Gaza Strip, including massacres, murders and brutal bombings on civilian homes and the families, by Zionist Israel.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The foundation in Indonesia, the Foundation for Friendship and Civilization Studies (locally known as YPSP), has urged the country to take more firm steps in condemning atrocities and genocide by Israel, through its (the Indonesian government’s) role and strategic relationships in international organizations and institutions as well as civil relations.

The call is part of YPSP’s appeal in its written statement received by Indonesia Window in Jakarta, Wednesday.

According to YPSP, the foundation in Indonesia is following what the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are experiencing, including massacres, killings, and brutal bombings on civilian homes and the families, by Israel.

The latest attack was on the Al-Muamadani Christian Hospital, a medical facility run by a Christian faith-based institution.

The aggression on the hospital and civilians seeking refuge in Gaza from Israeli attacks is a new form of genocide and massacre in a series of atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The fatal incident constitutes a clear violation of human rights and compliance with international humanitarian law and statutes that call for the protection of civilians and holy sites.

According to the first report released by the Ministry of Health (in Palestine), more than 500 people were killed and hundreds were injured in the attack.

Responding to the massacre, YPSP emphasizes:

  1. The aggression and attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza are a form of genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
  2. We express solidarity and deep condolences to all Palestinians who became victims and martyrs and were injured as a result of the latest attacks on Gaza and Al-Muamadani Hospital.
  3. We call on all world powers, the international community, civil society institutions, scientists and clerics to take up their responsibility in defending the Palestinian people.
  4. We also urge the Indonesian government to take more firm steps in condemning and stopping the atrocities and genocide committed by Israel through the strategic role and relationships that the Indonesian government has in international organizations and institutions and civil relations.
