Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta was appointed the Global Alliance Jakarta Hub for the Asia-Pacific region, it was learned here on Wednesday.
A statement from LSPR said the appointment was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between LSPR and the Global Alliance (GA) for PR and Communications Management at a regional conference held in Hangzhou, China, on Saturday (26/10).
The MoU, which was signed by Director of LSPR Jakarta Prita Kemal Ghani and GA President Justin Green, contained a commitment to opening the GA Regional Secretariat for the Asia Pacific Region, named the GA Jakarta Hub.
The signing of the document was witnessed by President of China Global Communications Public Relations Club Yin Xiaodong and Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun.
Prita Kemal Gani who is also the founder of LSPR Jakarta was appointed chair of the confederation in the Asia Pacific region by the GA board members from the United Kingdom, the United States, Portugal, New Zealand, Spain, Ireland, Brazil, Kenya, India and Switzerland.
The Swiss-based GA represents 280,000 practitioners and public relations academics around the world.
The mission of the Global Alliance is to unite professionals in the field of public relations, raise professional standards, share knowledge for the benefits of its members and express a global voice for the public interest.
