Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched the latest program ‘Kemlu Space’ which utilizes the Twitter digital media platform with the ‘Twitter Space’ feature.

This program is to find out the latest information about ‘What’s Happening’ both at home and abroad, with the first episode under the theme ‘Road to WCCE’, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received here on Wednesday.

The WCCE (World Conference on Creative Economy) is an international forum among various stakeholders to exchange ideas and experiences, develop policy guidelines, and realize concrete cooperation in the creative economy.

“The World Conference on Creative Economy serves as a forum for global creative economy actors, including Indonesian creative economy players, to share views on best practices to protect creative economy actors from the impact of the pandemic and increase the creative economy’s role in achieving the SDGs,” the Director of Trade, Industry, Commodities and Intellectual Property at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Antonius Yudi Triantoro, said.

In the Kemlu Space chat, Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Muhammad Neil El Himam, said, the forum is expected to be the right place to explore all things related to the creative economy.

The WCCE can also indirectly open the door for good cooperation and collaboration, such as business agreements, networks, and memorandums of understanding/agreements on certain cooperation, Neil El Himam said, adding that the WCCE should not be forgotten as it is also one of side events of the G20.

The 17th G20 Summit will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on November 15-16, 2022, which will be attended by world leaders of the Group of Twenty members.

The theme of the WCCE promotion is considered to be the right momentum for the first episode by collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, because it is part of the side events of a series of G20 activities to support Indonesia’s presidency in the G20.

This activity will be held on 5-7 October 2022 in Bali, with the theme “Inclusively Creative: A Global Recovery,” with the aim of promoting global recovery through the creative economy sector.

In this case the use of digital media is very important. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to fill the Twitter Space by sharing information and collaborating with other parties involved in the latest issues or activities in the next episode.
