Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo is scheduled to attend the ASEAN-U.S. Summit on the fourth day of his visit to Washington D.C., the United States, the Secretariat of the Indonesian Cabinet said in Jakarta on Friday.
The summit will be held on Friday (May 13) local time or Saturday (May 14) Indonesian time.
Heads of state and leaders of ASEAN countries will attend a working lunch with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris at the U.S. Department of State, followed by a formal meeting between the two parties.
In the afternoon, President Joko Widodo will attend the ASEAN-U.S. Special Summit at the same venue, attended by leaders of ASEAN countries and U.S. President Joe Biden.
Accompanying the president on this working visit are Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi, and Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia.
