Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The University of Vienna, Austria officially opened Indonesia Corner in the library of the Department of Anthropology Social and Culture on Tuesday (Oct 6).

“I am sure that the Indonesia Corner will inspire students to explore deeper about Indonesia and strengthen cooperation and people-to-people contact between Indonesia and Austria in the future,” Indonesian Ambassador to Austria, Slovenia and the United Nations Darmansjah Djumala stated after the inauguration ceremony of Indonesia Corner.

The Indonesia Corner will complement the collection of books about Indonesia in the library.

The Indonesian Representative in Vienna also donated a number of books about Indonesia on the themes of politics, social, economy, culture, and general knowledge to the library.

The library of the Department of Anthropology Social and Culture at the University of Vienna already has some books about Indonesia, which were written in English, German and ancient Javanese from the 1800s until now.

Earlier, in March 2018, the Indonesian Representative in Vienna in collaboration with the University of Vienna opened Indonesian language classes for the local people.
