Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Saudi government has deployed passport checkers at the airports for this year’s hajj season with an ability of communicating in Indonesian and 12 other languages.
The Saudi hajj team members can also speak English, Spanish, Japanese, Persian, Urdu, Turkish, Portuguese and Bangladeshi.
They are serving at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, where pilgrims from around the world arrive before performing rituals of the fifth Pillar of Islam.
The hajj season 1443 Hijri/2022 will be performed by one million pilgrims, including those coming from outside Saudi Arabia for the first time in two years, following the COVID-19 restrictions.
