Indonesia to draw tourists through ‘Arabian Travel Market Dubai

Dubai World Trade Centre becomes the venue of Arabian Travel Market, which is one of the most important international platforms for the travel and tourism business which will take place on May 1 – 4, 2023.

 

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesia is ready to draw tourists to through the largest international tourism event in the Middle East, Arabian Travel Market Dubai, which will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre, from May 1 to 4, 2023.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, said in his statement, in Jakarta, Monday (1/5) that through the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2023, his ministry is providing information on the latest developments of the Indonesian tourism.

According to Sandiaga, the Indonesian tourism continues to strive to build better services in welcoming foreign travelers and a number of relaxations of rules for the travelers to enter the archipelagic country in the post-pandemic time.

“We hope that Indonesia’s active participation in the ATM 2023 Dubai can increase the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia, which in turn can contribute to augmenting the country’s foreign exchange earnings and giving more job opportunities,” Sandiaga said.

Indonesia’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market is one of the active efforts to market the Indonesian tourism on the international stage. The Middle East is an area that is included in the list of Indonesia’s main markets which are very strategic.

“And we are targeting transactions obtained at the ATM Dubai 2023 to reach 55 thousand pax with a focus on improving four aspects, namely experience, quality, sustainability and luxury tourism,” the minister noted.

Indonesia’s participation in this exhibition cannot be separated from the role of Indonesian tourism industry players who carry out collaborative marketing.

“I also really appreciate the Indonesian tourism actors who have worked together to revive the Indonesian tourism,” he added.

Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, pointed out that there are a number of special strategies prepared by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy together with the industries that are taking part in the ATM Dubai 2023.

“Apart from the theme ‘Visit Indonesia Year 2023: Explore Our New Wonderful Destinations’, our promotion will not be separated from two things, namely the sustainable tourism and the quality tourism that are in line with current world tourism trends,” Made said.

At the ATM Dubai 2023, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy carried out two main activities, namely a B2B (Business to Business) meeting by bringing together the Indonesian tourism industry (sellers) and potential buyers.

In the world of tourism business, direct meetings between sellers and buyers are an important milestone for the existence of the Indonesian tourism in the competitive arena of the world tourism industry.

Second, direct meetings with wholesalers, OTA (Online Travel Agents), and international airlines to enhance integrated cooperation and joint promotion related to the Indonesian tourism, especially with regard to increasing seat capacity and flight frequency to Indonesia.

Indonesia is to draw tourists through Arabian Travel Market Dubai because it is one of the most important international platforms for the travel and tourism business.
