Hajj1441 – WHO hails Saudi Arabia for organizing safe hajj

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The World Health Organization (WHO) has hailed Saudi Arabia for its efforts to hold safe hajj this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHO Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised the steps taken by the kingdom government which keeps ensuring the safety and health of the worshipers during the hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land, Arab News reported as quoted by Indonesia Window here on Friday.

According to him, the measures taken by Saudi Arabia during the implementation of the pilgrimage are an example for other countries that want to return to normal life and adapt to conditions in the midst of the lingering pandemic.

On the same occasion Ghebreyesus also congratulated all Muslims around the world who celebrates Eid al-Adha on the 10th of Dhulhijjah, which this year falls on July 31.
