Florida shooting does not represent Islamic values: OIC

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the attack by a Saudi Arabian student at the US Navy base in Pensacola, Florida on Friday (Dec 6) and stressed that the perpetrator did not represent the tolerant Islamic values of Saudi people and all Muslims who believe in tolerance and moderation.

The OIC Secretary General, Yousef Al-Othaimeen, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and hoped that those injured in the incident could recover quickly, Arab News reported as quoted by Indonesia Window here on Saturday.

The shooting caused three people killed and several others were injured.

The attacker, a Saudi aviation student, was shot and killed by police.
