Saudi King Salman invites 50 Indonesian citizens to perform hajj this year

Efforts to serve Allah ﷻ’s guests continue today during the royal government of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

 

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud invites 50 Indonesian citizens from different walks of life, including national figures and members of the mass media, to perform the Hajj 1445 Hijri/2024.

“Islam was born in Saudi Arabia, in a noble country. “Allah ﷻ has given us grace to welcome Allah’s guests from all corners of the world, and we have always done our best since the founding of this country under the leadership of King Abdulaziz Al-Saud,” Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Bin Abdullah H Amodi, said at a ceremony in Jakarta, Saturday (June 8) releasing Indonesian prospective hajj pilgrims who will become guests of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Efforts to serve the guests of Allah ﷻ continue to this day during the kingdom government of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the ambassador added.

The Saudi Arabian government, he continued, always provides convenience, comfort and security for Muslims from all over the world in carrying out the hajj and umrah pilgrimages. This is in line with the context of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 which focuses on many activities, one of which is the best service for the Hajj pilgrimage.

“The Saudi Arabian government is implementing a ‘Fast Track’ hajj strategy at three airports in Indonesia, namely at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Cengkareng, Banten province), Solo (Central Java province and Surabaya (East Java province),” Ambassador Faisal said, adding that 100,000 pilgrims have enjoyed this service.

The Ambassador explained that the ‘Fast Track’ service provides comfort to hajj pilgrims from before they depart from their homeland until they arrive in the Holy Land, and return to their respective countries.

“This year as many as 240,000 Indonesian pilgrims performed the hajj, and this figure is very historic. Hopefully they would have a successful hajj, their sins will be forgiven, and they will return safely to their homeland,” the Saudi Ambassador noted.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, the Religious and Education Attaché of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Jakarta, Dr. Ahmad bin Isa Al-Hazimi, in various words, said, “King Salman’s program to send 50 Indonesian citizens to hajj aims to glorify Islamic countries and Muslims throughout the world.”

He emphasized that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been proven to serve hajj pilgrims from all over the world with the best services and facilities, both in terms of security, comfort and others.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Uno and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati were present at the event to send off the Indonesian hajj pilgrims.
