The Al-Quran Waqf Agency provided trainings of tahsin, (improving the reading of Al Qur’an), tahfidz (memorizing Al Qur’an) and entrepreneurship to local people in Cibeleng Hilir hamlet, Cikancana village, Gekbrong sub district, Cianjur district.

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – At the end of the month of Shaban this year, the Al-Quran Waqf Agency (locally known as BWA), through the humanity alms program, was again carrying out a humanitarian action for the earthquake survivors in Cianjur district, West Java province.

This time, the Al-Quran Waqf Agency provided trainings of tahsin, (improving the reading of Al Qur’an), tahfidz (memorizing Al Qur’an) and entrepreneurship to local people, especially the survivors in Cibeleng Hilir hamlet, Cikancana village, Gekbrong sub district, Cianjur district.

The people including children, teenagers and their parents in Cibeleng Hilir village are very enthusiastic about attending the trainings provided by BWA.

These activities are expected to create new Qur’an hafidz (those who memorize Al Qur’an) from this village and people with entrepreneurial skills to increase their income after the earthquake.

Not only does BWA give trainings on tahsin, tahfidz and entrepreneurship in the Cibeleng Hilir hamlet, but also inaugurate one of the mosques that have been renovated.

Jami Assobirin Mosque in this village can be re-functioned and used for worship, not long after the inauguration when the holy month of Ramadan came.

The existence of a permanent mosque is urgently needed by locals, even though an emergency mosque has been set up near the communal tents.

Knowing that the BWA team has returned to renovate the Assobirin Mosque, the people in the village are very happy, even though they could not help much in the construction process, because they are still busy with repairing their affected houses.

The head of Cikancana village, Deden, who was present at the inauguration of the renovated mosque expressed his pride to BWA and residents of Cibeleng Hilir hamlet for the contribution to renovating the mosque.

The village head expressed his feeling of happiness mixed with emotion for what BWA and also the villagers have done.

“Hopefully the kindness of all the personnel from the Al Qur’an Waqf Agency will turn into a good deed. I am happy and touched and thank you very much because building a place of worship is quite difficult, especially at this time as it requires mutual cooperation from the community. At this time the people were hit by the earthquake,” Deden, said.

“Likewise, I pray that all the work and energy that have been sacrificed by our friends become a good deed, Aamiin,” he added.

At the end of January 2023, BWA handed over humanitarian assistance in the form of toilets to survivors in Cibeleng Hilir hamlet. Thank God, until now the assistance provided by BWA is still being used and maintained properly by the people in this village.

God willing, there would be a continuation of the humanitarian action carried out by BWA to locations that need assistance, especially for those that have been hit by disasters.

In order to carry out this noble action, of course BWA needs help from various parties, one of which is donations from friends. God willing, the donations that have been collected would be distributed on target to the beneficiaries. BWA is waiting for best alms and donations.
