Ambassador claims Iran independent country, impartial of any block

Iran’s foreign policy is to pay attention to the neighbors, and in the following, paying a special heed at the Asian continent, since the 21st century is the Asian century and is the seat of emerging powers.

 

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – After 44 years of winning the revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran still has the slogan “neither east nor west” into its agenda and also independent to the east and west of the world.

This was emphasized by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia, Dr. Mohammad Azad, said at the 44th anniversary of the Victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, here on Friday evening (Feb. 10).

Despite choosing independence, Iran “continues to maintaining a rational relationship based on respect and refraining from isolating itself from the important economic, cultural and civilizational centers of the world, seeks to implement this policy,” Ambassador Azad said.

He further stressed that the thirteenth government of the Islamic Republic of Iran presided by Dr. Ebrahim Raisi has adopted a “balanced, active and smart” foreign policy grounded on the three principles of wisdom, dignity and expediency.

“Based on this, the first priority of the government’s foreign policy is to pay attention to the neighbors, and in the following, paying a special heed at the Asian continent, since the 21st century is the Asian century and is the seat of emerging powers.”

However, said the ambassador, “this priority does not mean ignoring the rest of the world, because the attention also has been paid to the other regions by prioritizing countries and regional assemblies and active economic diplomacy.”

“A balanced policy of simultaneous relations with the West and the East and smart use of all tools of national power means being present in the world with different plans and initiatives.”

” We are looking for ‘maximum security’ as well as “maximum cooperation” in the development and prosperity of the Persian Gulf region (West Asia) and help the other regions of the world,” Ambassador Azad said.
