Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, has participated in a high-level meeting for the International Solidarity Day with the Palestinian People in New York, the United States.

Saudi Arabia’s participation underlines the country’s confidence in the legitimate and irrevocable rights of the Palestinian people, the Saudi Press Agency’s News Agency reported on Thursday (Nov 28).

In a letter to the chairperson of the Committee for the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Saudi Arabia stressed that the Kingdom Government was very concerned about the Palestinian cause.

Saudi Arabia stated that it did not see any justification for the continuing conflict in the Middle East Region, especially with the existence of an international consensus based on the Arab Peace Initiative and UN resolutions.

The consensus mentioned the necessity of fulfilling the rights of the Palestinian people in self-determination and the formation of an independent state with Jerusalem as the capital in accordance with the border territories established in 1967.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia expresses respect for those who remain steadfast and continue the struggle in preserving their land, children and sanctity.

Saudi Arabia asserted that it will continue to support the Palestinian cause and has always been a pioneer in helping Palestinian refugees.
