Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Esam Abid Althagafi, stated that the history of relations between Indonesia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was based on a strong Islamic brotherhood.

“The strong relationship between Saudi and Indonesia is also based on mutual interests in the leadership of the two countries, from the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Indonesian brother, President Joko Widodo,” the ambassador said at the commemoration of the 89th Saudi Arabia National Day celebrations in Jakarta, Monday night (9/23).

The ambassador also expressed his confidence that relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia would be strengthened, especially with the exchange of visits by two state leaders some time ago.

The celebration of Saudi Arabia’s National Day was also enlivened by exhibits of some typical royal arts including calligraphy that can be enjoyed by guests as they can order their names written by an artist with Arabic script on a piece of paper.

In addition, there are henna painting artists who are ready to hand paint female guests with interesting motifs.
