Tanjung Lesung in Banten offers various types of integrated tourism, ranging from religious tourism, marine tourism, sports tourism, to cultural tourism.
Pandeglang, Banten (Indonesia Window) – Tanjung Lesung, a tourist destination located in the westernmost province of Java Island, Banten, offers various types of integrated tourism, ranging from religious tourism, marine tourism, sports tourism, to cultural tourism.
“All types of tourism are available in Tanjung Lesung which is growing with various facilities that support the activities of tourists,” the Director of PT Banten West Java TD, Widiasmanto, said at the Tanjung Lesung National Seminar on Tourism under the theme ‘Accelerating the Development of Tanjung Lesung Tourism’ which was held in Tanjung Lesung, Pandeglang district, on Saturday.
The national seminar is also part of the eight-year celebration of the mass media Sudut Pandang.
So far, Tanjung Lesung, which is included in 20 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the archipelagic country, focusing on the tourism sector, already has a number of supporting infrastructures, such as a toll road that connects it with the capital city of Jakarta, Salakanagara Airport which serves Pondok Cabe and Halim Perdanakusuma – Tanjung Lesung routes, fiber optic and wireless, as well as marinas and star hotels.
“Tanjung Lesung has also held a number of international-standard events which are participated in by foreign tourists,” he said, adding that one of these events was the West Sumatra Rally which took place from March 16 to June 19, 2022, participated in by 15 yachts with 26 participants, including those from Canada, England, Taiwan and Thailand.
In addition, a number of foreign cruise ships have also stopped at the Tanjung Lesung marina, while their passengers enjoy the beauty of the beach and other tours.
Even though the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone continues to grow, according to Widiasmanto, investment is still very much needed.
“We encourage existing investors or business actors to realize their investment and start building their hotels and accelerate the completion of their constructions, so that they can be operated in 2023-2024,” he noted.
In addition, he continued, potential investors are also expected to join forums aimed at growing investment in the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone.
“We also invite investors to visit the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone and see first-hand the developments and potential that exist here,” Widiasmanto added.
Some time ago, business actors from the United States, China, Germany and South Korea have visited and explored business potentials in Tanjung Lesung.
Located about 170 km southwest of Jakarta, the Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone covers a 1,500-hectare peninsula facing the Indian Ocean.
