Saudi acknowledges Indonesian audit board’s competence

Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – President General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Auditing Bureau Hussam Alangari has stated that the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board (BPK RI) has an outstanding financial oversight capabilities.

Hussam Alangari made the statement after he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on developing cooperation in financial audits between the two countries here on Thursday.

“I want to say that I feel happy and happy with the signing, so we invite BPK RI officials to visit Saudi Arabia in accordance with the time they have,” said Hussam.

He explained that one of the important things in the MoU was cooperation in the field of financial training between the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board and the Royal Bureau of Audit of Saudi Arabia.

“Therefore, hopefully this MoU will provide the widest possible benefits for these two institutions and the two countries in the future,” said Hussam.

He said that the relationship between the two financial supervision institutions had occurred a long time ago, but the formal cooperation had only been done through the signing of the MoU.

BPK RI has extensive experience in the field of financial supervision and this is the concentration of cooperation that the two countries will do, he said, adding that BPK RI and the Royal Bureau of Audit of Saudi Arabia are members of an  international financial supervision association, and also members of such an association in Asia and Southeast Asia.
