Makkah Governor washes the Holy Kaaba
The Kaaba was washed in a ceremony which was attended by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, and other officials including President of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais on Monday, September 16, 2019. Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region washed the Holy Kaaba on Monday, according to Saudi Press Agency.

Upon arrival at the Grand Holy Mosque (Masjidil Haram), he was received by President of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais.

Then, the Governor washed the Kaaba from inside with Zamzam water mixed with rose water.

Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region; Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammed Saleh Bin Taher Benten, a number of ministers, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, officials and citizens participated in washing the Holy Kaaba.
