The Hannover Messe 2023 is the biggest industrial exhibition in Europe, and Indonesia is the first ASEAN country to become the official partner country.
Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (also known as Jokowi) accompanied by first lady Iriana Jokowi departed for Hannover, Germany, on Saturday to open the Hannover Messe 2023.
“I will officially open the Hannover Messe 2023 with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz,” President Jokowi said in his press statement before departure to Germany from Soekarno International Airport, Hatta, in Tangerang city, Banten province.
The president said that Indonesia is an official partner country for the Hannover Messe 2023 under the theme ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’.
“The Hannover Messe 2023 is the largest industrial exhibition in Europe, and Indonesia is the first ASEAN country to become an official partner country,” he added.
During this visit, the head of the state will also hold a bilateral meeting with Chancellor Scholz, in addition to meeting with a number of German business players.
Germany is Indonesia’s important trading and investment partner in Europe, the largest trading partner among European countries, and the fourth largest investor from the European region, Jokowi noted.
The head of state and the first lady as well as the delegation are scheduled to return to Indonesia on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry said in its official website, the country has four main targets in this year’s Hannover Messe, namely presenting the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting industrial cooperation, promoting foreign investment and exports, and enhancing bilateral relations with Germany as the host.
Indonesia is the first ASEAN country to become an official partner country at the event and has been a partner three times.
With the spirit of Infinite Journey at the international exhibition in Hannover which will be held on April 17-21, 2023, Indonesia will present the latest technological advances and potential industrial technology investments through a number of events.
