Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Indonesia Window) – Indonesian artist Dude Herlino spoke at the closing ceremony of hajj pilgrimage in the hajj season 2019 held by the Ministry of Media of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, Wednesday evening (August 14).
According to Dude Herlino, he thanked Allah (God Almighty) for the opportunity given by the Royal Government of Saudi Arabia to perform Islam’s fifth pillar in the Holy Land.
Dude said he was lucky to win the opportunity as still many Indonesian people are dreaming of performing hajj soon but they have to be on the waiting list up to ten years.
The artist said that he was very surprised when a staff member at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Jakarta, Indonesia, Ahmad Suryana, required him to join a hajj group that left for the Holy Land this year.
“I then told my parents and wife about the opportunity that this is a blessing from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala,” said Dude who also told about two Malaysian singers Nadia Amira and Nurshazwany Hasrita who were invited by the Saudi government to perform hajj.
On the occasion, Dude also extended his gratitude to the Saudi government, especially the Ministry of Media, that has given the opportunity to him to perform hajj and other wonderful religious trips with satisfying services.
Dude pointed out that the opportunity to perform hajj given by the Saudi government to him and other Indonesian people among Muslims across the world is the result of good relations between the two countries.
The Indonesian film actor who expressed the hope that he could return to perform hajj with his family would motivate his family members and friends to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.
