Jakarta (Indonesia Window) – The Indonesian government has provided travel bubbles for Singaporeans trough the cities of Batam and Bintan in Riau Islands province, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has said.
The travel bubbles consist of Nongsa Sensation entrance in Batam and Bandar Bintan Telano ferry terminals, he said at an online press conference on Monday (Jan. 24).
In order to enter the Indonesian territory, tourists from Singapore must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, have a negative COVID-19 PCR certificate with validity for 3 x 24 hours, and have a visa.
“Of course, this (policy) has to be supervised, and (they must) have insurance of 30,000 Singapore dollars and use Pedulilindungi and BluePass applications,” he said.
Pedulilindungi and BluePass are tracing tools of COVID-19 patients belonging to Indonesia and Singapore respectively.
Earlier, Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno ensured that the travel bubbles between Indonesia and Singapore be implemented on Monday (Jan. 24).
The agreement was taken after Sandiaga reviewed two travel bubble zones in Nongsa (Batam city) and Lagoi (Bintan island).
